Basel, April 7, 2014 – Swiss-based SAP hosting provider syslink is ready for operation of the first SAP HANA systems, in particular for SME. During the first quarter of 2014 the whole SAP Basis staff has completed practice-oriented training. These training sessions have been compiled from the lessons learned during the SAP HANA project at Swiss Coop.
syslink was able to gain substantial knowledge in SAP HANA projects and operation because it was involved in the SAP HANA introduction at Coop, Switzerland’s second largest retailer, from the very beginning. This introduction is one of the biggest SAP HANA projects in Switzerland, hence it is watched closely by other SAP customers. And it enables syslink to provide SAP HANA know how to its SME-customers today already.
A recent study of PAC www.pac-online.com on challenges and opportunities of SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA for German SAP customers showed two things: For almost all participants, the SAP partner having expert knowledge in data management with SAP HANA is important or even very important. And nearly half of the participants require an SAP partner to be able to actually operate SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA. These are two of the reasons for syslink to train all SAP Basis staff based on the experience of the project.
So, the folks at syslink feel themselves well prepared for the in-memory technology of SAP that sooner or later will hit small and medium-sized enterprises as well.
