Avantra Appoints New SVP of EMEA to Lead the Company in Bringing AI to the SAP Operations of Multinational Enterprises

New SVP EMEA brings deep market expertise to drive sales excellence and extend Avantra’s industry leading position

Basel, Switzerland / September 3, 2020 – Avantra, the leading global AIOps and automation platform for SAP environments, has today announced the appointment of Günter Sandmann to the position of SVP EMEA, to help drive sales excellence and continue to expand its long-established foothold in the region.

Sandmann brings solid EMEA market insight to Avantra, having held a number of leadership positions at various technology startups and enterprises connected to the SAP ecosystem. In his most recent position at Workfront, a cloud-based work management platform, he led a sales team as Head of Central Europe, Benelux and the Nordics. Sandmann has also worked at BlueCat, CallidusCloud and Eloqua (an Oracle company) in a career spanning 27 years.

Sandmann joins the AIOps tech company following the announcement of its strategic partnerships with Google Cloud and ServiceNow to elevate the hyperscalers’ presence within the SAP ecosystem. A move which accelerates an enterprise’s ability to enjoy the benefits of cloud elasticity for their SAP workloads.
