Today we released version 5.2 of our System Management Solution syslink Xandria. The main focus of this release is put on the native support of SAP HANA. We tightly integrated extensive Monitoring, Performance Recording, Changes Auto-Detection, and Reporting of SAP HANA environments into our product.
Following our design principles, the SAP HANA Monitoring and Reporting in syslink Xandria is targeted to support your staff effectively in operating SAP HANA environments. We based our development on the expert knowledge of our SAP HANA Certified Technology Assistants which are successfully operating one of the largest SAP HANA installations in Switzerland.
So, using syslink Xandria 5.2 leverages best practice SAP HANA operation and protects your investments into this technology.
Mobile System Management
The second building block of syslink Xandria 5.2 is the support of a broad range of mobile devices.
Those of you owning an iPhone or iPad probably benefit from all the advantages of the XanMobile App for mobile access to your syslink Xandria installation. Starting with this release, XanMobile will be available for other smartphones as well, like Android devices, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone.
The provided set of function is well adapted to small screens and supports instant system landscape status overviews, immediate reaction on issues through check result confirmation or pausing monitoring, and direct notification of customers by phone, email, or text message.
Other Improvements
Further, there are a lot of user interface enhancements most of which are aimed to simplify the usage of syslink Xandria in large-scale environments.
One particularly helpful function is the Maintenance Window Timeline. It provides an adaptive graphical overview of all planned, active, and past Maintenance Windows for a given System or even across Systems.
We also streamlined the installation and upgrade of syslink Xandria server components. Although the introduction of syslink Xandria is so simple that you do not need any introductory project, there is always something that can be simplified further.
Finally, there is a new web service based on the WSDL standard in order to read, add, modify, or delete objects in syslink Xandria.
